About the system
The torque converter test bench measures torque ratio, efficiency, capacity factor and lock-up characteristics of automatic transmission torque converters. A high-speed drive on the input and an absorption dynamometer on the output are used; charge pressure and flow are servo closed-loop controlled, and energy is recovered through a regenerative DC bus.
Technical scope
- Drive 250–660 kW
- 0–7000 r/min
- Input up to 5 kNm
- Output up to 20 kNm
Test functions and capabilities
- Torque ratio, efficiency and capacity factor
- Lock-up clutch characteristics
- Servo-controlled charge pressure and flow
- Durability tests
Configurations and technical data
