About the system

The driveline static torsion bench loads half-shafts, CV shafts, propshafts, axles, gearboxes and welded joints with rising torque at very low speed to determine torsional stiffness, yield and fracture strength. The torque-angle curve is recorded with ±0.1% FS torque and ≤0.01° angle accuracy, and fracture is detected automatically. Standard up to 150 kNm and on request 200 kNm and above; the quasi-static version applies ±10 kNm at 2.5–60 r/min.

Technical scope

  • 0–150 kNm static (200 kNm+ on request)
  • Quasi-static ±10 kNm at 2.5–60 r/min
  • Angle accuracy ≤0.01°
  • Half-shafts, CV shafts, propshafts, axles, weld strength

Test functions and capabilities

  • Torque-angle curve, torsional stiffness and strength
  • Bevel gear support stiffness
  • Weld strength (torsion)
  • Torque or angle control, unlimited rotation angle
  • Mounting with inner/outer joint angles
  • Automatic fracture detection
