About the system

Ball joint and tie-rod test benches cover performance, light/heavy-duty durability, hot/cold environmental durability and boot corrosion tests for inner and outer ball joints, tie rods and constant-velocity links. Axial, radial and torsional loads are applied simultaneously on 3–5 axes together with swing and rotation motions. Static/dynamic stiffness, displacement and wear are measured, and overload protection is standard.

Technical scope

  • 3–5 axes
  • 30–100 kN
  • −40…150 °C
  • Salt/mud spray

Test functions and capabilities

  • Static/dynamic load, stiffness and displacement
  • Axial, radial and torsional loading
  • Wear and play measurement
  • Hot/cold climatic durability and mud spray
  • Boot corrosion: salt spray, 3/6 stations
  • Rotating and swing torque performance tests
